The students of the Boalt Hall Environmental Law Society and our cosponsors would like to invite you to participate in the Spring 2005 Environmental Justice Symposium titled Transforming our Communities: An Inclusive Approach to Environmental Justice. Our intentions for the Symposium are threefold: to create a space for the environmental justice community--including lawyers, policy makers, community organizers and leaders, professors and scholars, social and physical scientists, artists and youth activists from California and beyond--to convene and connect in order to learn about one another's work, strengthen existing relationships and re-energize for future action; to inform the Boalt Hall and broader community about the existence of and opportunities for community-based law practice; and to generally raise awareness about the environmental justice movement.
